Side Air Intake Pressure Differential ?
Equipment - 8 feet of poly tubing, some water, lotus elise, duck tape,
video camera to capture evidence, closed road for speed test.
Outer Pressure Sensor
Inner Pressure Sensor
Pressure reading at 0mph - levels equal
Pressure reading at 100mph, front tube has higher fluid level
The front tube is connected to the engine bay sensor.
Therefore there is a pressure differential between the sensors, the
lower pressure being in the engine bay, so cool air should flow into the
engine bay at this speed through the side vent.
