1 tablespoon of butter, melted (not spread!)
2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
pinch of kosher salt
1 egg yolk
3 tablespoons of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of Christmas sprinkles or non-pareils

Start by melting one tablespoon of butter in a microwave safe mug. Just heat the butter until it is melted, not boiling. Add sugar, vanilla, and salt, and stir until combined.

Add one egg yolk to the mug and stir until combined. Set aside egg white to use in another recipe or discard. It's important that you do not use the egg white as it will get rubbery in the microwave.

Stir in three level tablespoons of all-purpose flour, then add non-pareils or sprinkles and stir a final time.

Cook in the microwave for 40-50 seconds.
