Anise Biscuits

My German grandmother used to make these every Christmas. She said using small eggs was a must. Recipe by: JBS BOX

3 eggs, beaten
200g (7 oz) caster sugar
260g (9 oz) plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 tablespoon fennel seed
Preparation method
Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas mark 4.

Combine the beaten eggs and sugar and beat for 15 minutes. Stir in the flour, baking powder, cream of tartar and fennel seeds. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes
