1 oz. scotch
¾ oz. Cherry Heering liqueur
¾ oz. sweet vermouth
¾ oz. fresh orange juice
1 maraschino cherry, to garnish

Combine scotch, Cherry Heering, vermouth, and orange juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice; cover and shake until chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and top with cherry.

Twelve Mile Limit Cocktail


This potent Prohibition-era cocktail takes its name from the U.S. law that banned the consumption of alcohol a dozen miles beyond its shores. From: Saveur

½ oz. rye whiskey
½ oz. brandy

Rose Cocktail

2 oz. French vermouth
1 oz. kirsch (cherry brandy)
1 tsp. raspberry syrup, such as Monin
1 maraschino cherry, to garnish

Combine vermouth, kirsch, and syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice; cover and shake until chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass and add cherry.

Rossini Cocktail

3 oz. chilled prosecco
